What is Shash yog? How it is formed?
First of all what is Shash yog. Many of us have this yog in our horoscope but we are unaware about this auspicious yog. Shash yog is a kind of planetary combination created by Shani dev in our horoscope as it was said by Vedic Rishis that those people who have Shash yog in their horoscope are the luckiest one because here Saturn gives his blessing to people who have this yog.It is said that people did good deeds in their previous birth, as a result of Shash Yog in a horoscope or kundli. In previous birth they were very hardworking.
Now how Shash Yog forms?
Shash yog is formed when Saturn is in the kendra house or in the centre house in our horoscope that are:
1st house: Also known as Ascendant or lagna
4th house
7th house
10th house
Note: Conditions will only be fulfilled when the planets are either in their exaltation sign, mool trikona sign or its own sign.
Saturn gets exalted in libra sign
Saturn mool trikona sign is Aquarius
Saturn own sign is Capricorn
III. Saturn power to give result.
In Libra sign, it gives 100% results
In Mool trikona sign, it gives 75% results
In Capricorn sign, it gives 50% results
We are giving you an example of Cancer Ascendant birth chart that shows its formation:
In above image shown, there are only two parameters or conditions where it applies for Shash Yog in Cancer Ascendant.
First condition is one when Saturn is positioned in 7th house and its zodiac sign is Capricorn zodiac sign i.e. Number 10(rashi). Capricorn sign is Saturn own sign.
Second condition: When Saturn occupies in 4th house for cancer ascendant, here it is placed in Libra zodiac sign or rashi(7) where Saturn gets exalted.
It is believed that Saturn does not always give positive results, it varies from person to person.
Saturn gives his results as per person deeds whether good or bad.
Saturn is the lord of Karma. Saturn delay things and it is true however it depends on other planetary combination for full predictions. Things give by Saturn are permanent not temporary.
It is also true that Saturn takes things to improve things, where Saturn sits, it delays things based on where it sits. Suppose if your Saturn is sitting in 7th house i.e. marriage house, partnership house, one can expect to be delay in marriage till first Saturn returns which will be after 30 years. Same case with business also, a person can't settle in his/her business or profession till 30 years. he or she will be settle after 30th year.
If Saturn is in 7th house i.e. marriage or partnership house, it protects one's marriage by giving them stability.

Saturn is a karaka of expansion so if Saturn is sitting in 10th house with Shash yog then it will expand your profession or business or you will be able to achieve high position in your work place or in your business too without much efforts or one can easily get govt job with this placement.
One thing is also true that where Saturn aspects in your birth chart, it can also give negative result , totally depending on karma done varies from person to person.
If one is doing good karma, Saturn will give positive results not negative results.
If Saturn aspects your lagna or 1st house from seventh, one can expect health issues.
If Saturn aspects your luck or bhagya house, that is 9th house, it will give negative result in terms of luck.
Saturn is very stronger where it is placed hence once should do good things with respect to that house position.
