What is Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog?
Rahu is 'Kaal' or 'death' and Ketu is 'Sarp' or 'Snake'. Presence of Kaal Sarp in one's horoscope is the result of " Curse given by a Snake" or "someone killed a snake in previous birth" or "someone did bad deeds in the previous birth" that's why this dosh is present in one's horoscope but there is no mention of Kaal Sarp Yog or Dosh in books of Ved Purana or Parashar Rishi or Ravan Sahita.
This Yog or Dosh came from the south region. People with Yog are always live in a fear that they will not get a successful life because of this inauspicious Yog although it is completely false. There may be a possibility that people are struggling in their life due to some other planetary combination which is not auspicious.
It is not true that one is suffering all their problems due to the presence of Kaal Sarp presence in a horoscope. Many successful and famous people have this yog in their horoscope and they achieve everything in their life.
Note: Only 10 to 20% of people have Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog present in their horoscope.
Results of Kaal Sarp Dosh?
People born with Kaal Sarp Dosh face hurdles in their life. These people face a struggle in their life. If someone is highly ambitious then also they do not get complete success in their related work. This Yog or Dosh bring delay in everything. People with this Yog or Dosh find difficulty in every matter or work. People with Yog or Dosh get a physical illness. These people do not get happiness from their child or spouse. Their child also faces a health issue. They won't get married early. Delay in marriage is also possible.

How does Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog form?
Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog is formed by Planets Rahu and Ketu. When all planets come under Rahu and Ketu then this Dosh or Yog is formed.
OR
When all planets are present between Rahu and Ketu then Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog is formed.

Note: Rahu and Ketu placements are always opposite to each other for all horoscope. If Rahu is present in 4th house then Ketu will be placed in 10th house and if Ketu is placed in 4th then Rahu will be placed in 10th house. Rahu and Ketu placement are always 7th from each other when we analyse anyone horoscope.
Note: Rahu and Ketu are always retrograde for all horoscope.
Note: Rahu aspect 5th house, 7th house and 9th house from its position where it is present. Ketu also aspect 5th house, 7th house and 9th house from its position where it is present.
Cancellation of Kaal Sarp Dosh
a) If Rahu is exalted then Kaal Sarp Dosh is cancelled. Rahu gets exalted in Taurus (Number 2), Gemini( Number 3).
b) If Ketu is exalted then also Kaal Sarp Dosh is cancelled. Ketu gets exalted in Scorpio (Number 8), Sagittarius( Number 9).
c) If Rahu or Ketu is present in own zodiac signs then also Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog is cancelled.
As per Parashara Rishi, Rahu own zodiac sign is Virgo(Number 6) and Ketu own zodiac sign is Pisces( Number 12).
Some rishis believed that Rahu owns zodiac sign is Aquarius (Number 11) and Ketu owns zodiac sign is Scorpio (Number 8) but this is accurate for horoscope prediction.
d) If Rahu is present in its friendly zodiac sign then also Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog will be cancelled.
e) If anyone planet is not present between Rahu and Ketu or if any planet comes outside between Rahu and Ketu placement then this Yog or dosh does not exist.
f) If Rahu is present with 0 degree or 1 degree or 28 degrees to 29 degrees then Rahu is in the dead state hence no Kaal Sarp Dosh exists in one's horoscope.
g) If Kaal Sarp Dosh is formed in any one horoscope. One should look at the placement of Rahu along with the zodiac sign in which Rahu is placed. If the lord of Rahu is a benefic planet and strong and placed with benefic zodiac signs then it will not give malefic results.
If the lord of Rahu is weak or afflicted or if it will be a malefic planet or killer or Marak planet then it will give malefic results.
For Aquarius Ascendant: If Rahu is present in 1st house and Ketu is present in 7th house and creating Kaal Sarp Dosh then we will check the placement of the lord of 1st house where Rahu is placed. If Saturn is weak or debilitated or in enemy zodiac sign then it will give less development and give troubles in one's life.
Note: Rahu and Ketu will give its malefic results of Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog concerning that house where they are present and where they aspect.
Note: One can only expect negative results of Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog during the Mahadasha, Antardasha or Pratyantar Dasha or Char Dasha of Rahu and Ketu.
Note: Practically, If we analyse Rahu and Ketu then these two planets can give most popular benefic result unlike other planets can't give. If anyone faces Mahadasha of Rahu then Rahu Mahadasha runs for 18 years which is a very long period.
If a person is facing troubles or struggles during that period then that period will be a training period for that person who has a Rahu Mahadasha. Most people learn and implement new things during that period. Rahu, In reality, gives strength to that person to faces challenges and most people realize their strength and weakness during that period.
Rahu gives a task to the people. Most people live in fear and think that they are phasing Rahu Dasha and they will not get success in their related field or profession but for those who accept the challenges of Rahu and Ketu are the one who achieves name, fame in their life once this Mahadasha came to an end. for example Sachin Tendulkar, Dhirubhai Ambani, Lata Mangeshkar. There are 12 types of Kaal Sarp Yog or Dosh in Vedic Astrology
a) Anant Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 1st house or Ascendant and Ketu is present in 7th house.
b) Kulik Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 2nd house and Ketu is present in 8th house.
c) Vasuki Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 3rd house and Ketu is present in 9th house.
d) Shankhpal Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 4th house and Ketu is present in 10th house.
e) Padam Kaal Sarp Dosh: Rahu is present in 5th house and Ketu is present in 11th house.
f) Mahapadam Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 6th house and Ketu is 12th house.
g) Takshak Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 7th house and Ketu is present in 1st house.
h) Karkotak Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 8th house and Ketu is present in 2nd house.
i) Shankchoor Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 9th house and Ketu is present in 3rd house.
j) Ghatak Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 10th house and Ketu is present in 4th house.
k) Vishdhar Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 11th house and Ketu is present in 5th house.
l) SheshNag Kaal Sarp Dosh: When Rahu is present in 12th house and Ketu is present in 6th house.
Note: Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog gives more negative results if it is forming from 1st house till 6th house.
Note: The first six types of Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog give more negative results i.e. from Anant Kaal Sarp Dosh till Mahapadam Kaal Sarp Dosh gives more negative results.
Note: Kaal Sarp Dosh formed in 1oth house(Profession or business) and 12th house(expenditure) will be considered as most malefic in one's horoscope.
If this dosh is formed in 2nd house then one can expect a loss of funds or money, wealth, leg pain.
If this dosh is formed in 3rd house then these people will not listen to their siblings, luck does not favour these people.
If this dosh is formed in 4th house then these people will face a struggle in their work-life and these people do not take advise from their mother, this dosh gives heath issues to Mother.
If this dosh is formed in 5th house then one can face income-related issues and problem-related to his or her child education.
If this dosh is formed in 6th house then one can expect eye-related disorder, health issues.
If this dosh is formed in 7th house then one will not have good relationships with his or her life partner, delay in marriage is also possible, it gives problems related to daily wages or business or married life.
Note: If the lord of 7th house and position of Venus and Jupiter are strong then one will not get malefic results of Kaal Sarp Dosh.
If this dosh is formed in 8th house then one can expect health issue, accidents, diseases.
If this dosh is formed in 9th house then luck does not favour, all plan go waste, one can't get good results related to in-laws.
If this dosh is formed in 10th house then it will not give good results related to business, profession, not get support from father, a person becomes lazy, depends on other and find fault in others.
Note: Kaal Sarp Dosh or Yog formed in 10th house is considered as most malefic Kaal Sarp dosh.
If this dosh is formed in 11th house then one can expect less income, a problem with the child, get less education.
If this dosh is formed in 12th house then one will be very talkative, one thinks a lot but does not implement things. This is also a very negative Kaal Sarp Yog or dosh in a horoscope.
