Ashtakvarga in Vedic Astrology: Know the Strength of your all planets
Asthakvarga means eight Varga.
All seven planets except shadow planets like Rahu and Ketu in a birth chart possess auspicious point in all houses.
We don't count Rahu and Ketu in the Ashtakvarga.

The energy given by the planet can be auspicious or inauspicious depending on the points. Firstly In Ashtakvarga, we create Bhinn Asthakvarg in a horoscope. Placement of all planets in a horoscope and its situation and points given from the Lagna called Bhinn Ashtakvarga.
Sarvashtakavarga: Adding auspicious points of all planets and houses from Lagna given in each house in the Bhinn Ashtakvarg to get Sarvashtakavarg.
The rule given by Ashtakvarg are as follows:
If a planet is present in the particular zodiac sign in the Savasthakvarg in a house is getting 28 or more than 28 points gives good results.
If a planet is getting less than 28 points then that house gets weak.
2. A planet has 28 points or more points in a particular house and that planet will get good results if below conditions are met.
a) A planet is not present in the Trik houses that are 6th house, 8th house, 12th house.
b) A planet should not set off with the sun.
c) A planet should not present in the debilitated zodiac sign.
d) A planet should not conjunct or aspected by malefic planets.
e) Planets should not come under the influence of Papkartari Yog.
3. If natural malefic planets are present in the 3rd house, 6th house, 11th house then it gives good results.
4. If natural benefic planets are present in the Kendra or Trikona houses gives the best results.
5. If a planet has transit on a particular house and that house has 28 or more points gives benefic results. If less than 28 points then it giver weaker results.

4. If 4th house carries 28 or more points then the person will get happiness from mother. He gets lands, property, vehicles. He or she gets all comforts and materialistic things in life but if points are less than 28 then the person gets a lack of all these things.
In some cases, it is also true that if a rich person born with 28 or more points in the 4th house then he or she does not like to work or becomes lazy because he or she already got comforts and materialistic things in life.
