In the Ashtakavarga chart, the different Numbers will be present from the 1st house to the 12th house, for example: If your Ascendant is Cancer then the Ascendant of the Ashtaka- Varga chart will be Cancer.

If  the Ascendant is Virgo then the Ascendant of Ashtakavarga chart will be Virgo.

The Numbers present without Circle in the Ashtakavarga chart are the zodiac sign and the Numbers present inside the Circle are the Ashtakavarga points which we will analyse.

a) The 28 Points in the Ashtakavarga chart are considered to be an Average points where the person will get Average results from the planet present in the particular house of the Ashtaka- Varga chart. 

b) The Points present in the Ashtakavarga chart below 28 will be considered below average in terms of giving results.

c) The Points present in the Ashtakavarga chart above 28 will be considered good.

d) The Points present in the Ashtakavarga chart above 30 will be considered auspicious.

 

The greater points present in the Ashtakavarga house are considered strong.

In the above Ashtakavarga chart, the 35 points are present in the 4th house. It indicates that the person will get all happiness which the 4th house represents.

The 31 points are present in the 10th house which shows that the person will do good in his career or profession.

The 31 points are present in the 7th house which indicates that the person's married life will run smoothly.

You have to check that if you are getting more points in the 6th house, 8th house and 12th house compared to the 1st house then it is not considered good. Let's take an example: In our Ashtakavarga chart, the 1st house contains 28 Points. 

If any two houses among the 6th house, 8th house and 12th house contain more Points compared to the 1st house then it increases the struggle and hardships in life.

In our Ashtakavarga chart, as shown in the figure, the 6th house contains 23 Points, the 8th house contains 35 Points and the 12th house contains 16 Points.

If all the three houses that are: 6th house, 8th house and 12th house contain more Points than 1st house then it gives very hard struggle and hardships. 

There should be fewer Points in any two houses among the 6th house, 8th house and 12th house compared to the 1st house.

To know the dominance between wife and husband, we will check the Points present in the 1st house and the 7th house in the Ashtakavarga chart. 

The 1st house represents you and the 7th house represents your spouse. In our example, the 7th house contains 31 Points and the 1st house contains 28 Points. If you are female then shows that your husband will have a dominant attribute.

Also, it shows that you will have good trust and honesty in your husband and you will leave all responsibilities to your husband.

If you are a male then your wife will have more influence and dominance over you. 

Suppose, if your 1st house contains 29 Points and the 7th house contains 23 Points then it shows that you will have dominance over your spouse and you will keep your views at the top in front of your spouse.

The greater points in the 6th house show that the person will have a good horoscope in terms of job or service. The above 30 points in the 6th house confirm that the person will do good in the job or service. 

Also, if greater than 33 Points are present in the 6th house then the person is to be considered honest. Also, his job or service will be stable. Also, the person will be capable of giving good results in his job or service.

The employer always wants to recruit the person who has above 33 Points in the 6th house.

The 8th house is the house of hardships and struggle and it is also considered a harmful house.

If the 8th house contains more than 28 points compared to the 1st house then it increases the hardships and health issues in life but it does not mean that the person's age will decrease but it is confirmed that the person will face hardship and health issues in life. 

If the 8th house contains more Points compared to the 1st house then it is not considered good for you.

If more Points are present in the 11th house compared to the 4th house then it will be considered auspicious for you but it will not good for your mother.

If more Points are present in the 2nd house compared to the 7th house then it is good for you but it will give hardships to your spouse.

To know about your children, Check the 5th house and 12th house. If more points are present in the 12th house compared to the 5th house then it will give hardships to your children.

As we know that there are four directions. East, West, North and South. To know which direction is suitable for you will be analysed by given Ashtakavarga table parameters:

a) Number 1(Aries), Number 5(Leo) and Number 9 (Sagittarius)zodiac signs represent the East direction.

b) Number 2(Taurus), Number 6(Virgo) and Number 10(Capricorn) zodiac signs represent the South direction.

c) Number 3(Gemini), Number 7(Libra) and Number 11(Aquarius) zodiac signs represent the West direction.

Now, if you want to know about your luckiest direction among the East, West, North and South then you have to find out the total points of all Ashtakavarga directions. The Luckiest direction gives clue in which you will get your name, fame, career or business success and gains.

To Calculate which direction will be suitable. Add all zodiac sign number points for each direction.

Calculation of East direction = Number 1+ Number 5 + Number 9

Calculation of East direction = 31 + 26 + 23= 80 

Calculation of South direction = Number 2 + Number 6 + Number 10

Calculation of South direction = 28 + 31 + 31= 90

Calculation of West direction = Number 3 + Number 7 + Number 11

Calculation of West direction = 16 + 35 + 35 = 86

Calculation of North direction = Number 4 + Number 8 + Number 12

Calculation of North direction = 28 + 26 +27 =81

Check the high Points from all directions. Four directions are the East direction, West direction, North direction and South direction. The greater lucky direction will have greater Points.

In our case, the greater Point is 90 hence South direction is the Luckiest. We will give Rank 1 to South direction.

The next greater Point is 86 hence West direction is the second Luckiest direction. 

Note: We should avoid the direction of the third and fourth Ranks because we can expect fewer gains from that direction.

Sometimes, people want to buy a house or property and they want to know the lucky direction of a house or property so we recommend buying a house or property in the direction in which we are getting the highest Points with Rank 1 and Rank 2. We should avoid the direction of Rank 3 and Rank 4.

People who have Saturn Sade Sati or transit running in their birth chart can analyse their birth chart using the Ashtakavarga method:

In the current situation, Saturn is moving from Capricorn to Aquarius. At present, Saturn is going in the Aquarius zodiac. 

The Sade Sati will be running for the people who belong to Aquarius, Pisces and Capricorn zodiac signs because Sadi Sati runs for the front and back houses zodiac signs also.

In the front house from Aquarius, we are getting the Pisces zodiac sign. At the back house, we are getting the Capricorn zodiac sign. Sade Sati is of 7.5 years which is divided into three sub-parts of 2.5 years.

If Shani gets good marks even in Bhinashtak Varga, then it is considered even better.

If Saturn is getting less than 28 points in that house in which it is transiting then it will give less good results.

Suppose, Saturn contains 31 Points in the Ashtakavarga chart but Saturn is transiting in the Aries zodiac which is the debilitated zodiac sign of Saturn so here, in this case, the malefic effects of Saturn will minimize.

Saturn gets debilitated in Aries zodiac sign. If Saturn contains 23 Points in the Aries zodiac sign then here, then you find difficulties to get good results from Saturn.

Calculation = Points present in the 1st house of Ashtakavarga + Points present in the 2nd house of Ashtakavarga + Points present in the 4th house of Ashtakavarga + Points present in the 9th house of Ashtak Varg + Points present in the 10th house of Ashtakavarga + Points present in the 11th house of Ashtakavarga.

If the sum of all the points is greater than or equal to 164 then you will lead a happy and prosperous life but if  the total Points are less than 164 then the person may lead a less happy and prosperous life.
