Stars or Nakshatra's in Vedic Astrology and their lords

Nakshatra is a collection of stars present in our planetarium. Our whole Planetarium is divided into 360 degree, which divided into 12 parts, that 12 parts is known as zodiac sign or Rashi, then Rashi again divided into 27 Nakshatra's which consists of 4 charans.

Stars-or-nakshatra's

Nakshatra's played an important role in Vedic Astrology. Analyse of Nakshatra gives us an accurate and in depth understanding to predict one's future in an easy manner. Nakshatra lord placement in one's chart matters a lot to judge overall planet behaviour, attributes, dignity in terms of giving its result.

If nakshatra lord is well placed, well aspected, matching with planet features then one can expect good or benefic results otherwise vice versa.

Let's take an example:

If anyone Jupiter is present in 1st house for cancer ascendant, which has a 14 degree in pushya nakshatra, for Pushya nakshatra, lord is Saturn, now one should look at the position of Saturn. If Saturn is present in good nakshatra or present in good dignity/sign or aspecting with good planets then one can say that now Jupiter and Saturn, both are capable of giving benefic results. In this way, one can judge the nakshatra in terms of giving its benefic or malefic results.

Mathematically, we calculate as per below:

Our whole Planetarium is a big circle stands at 360 degree.

Let's do calculation of zodiac(rashi) and Nakshatra's calculation

1 circle= 360 degree/12= 30 degree

1 Zodiac or rashi = 360 degree/ 12(rashi)= 30 degree

1 zodiac or rashi= 30 degree

from 0 degree- 30 degree, Our planetarium rotates in 1 zodiac sign or rashi, In next 30 degree-60 degree, Our planetarium rotates in next zodiac sign or rashi. In the same manner ,60 degree- 90 degree in next zodiac or rashi and so on.

where degree= Ansh

minutes= kala
second= Vikla

Now comes, Nakshatra calculation:

Nakshatra= 360 degree/27 degree=  13.3 something or 13 degree and 20 minutes

1 degree= 60 minutes,

therefore 1/3=20 minutes.

So, 1 Nakshatra= 13 degree and 20 minutes

1 nakshatra = 4 charans

So total= 1 nakshatra= 27(which is nakshatra's)* 4(which is charan)= 108

1 nakshatra is is divided into 4 charans so we have total 108 charans as per above calculation, so which is why our vedic rishis tell people to do recitation at least 108 times in which one can recite mantras of Gods for their fulfilment of their wishes or for their desire purpose.

A zodiac smallest unit is charan

1 rashi= 2.25 nakshatra's * 4= 9 charans

12 rashi= 12*9= total 108 charans

hence, 1 charan= 13 degree 20 minutes/4

1 charan= 3 degree and 20 minutes

Note: 1 zodiac sign or rashi cosists of 3 nakshatras and 1 nakshatras further divided into 4 charans, we have total 108 charans
