Parameters for Vimshottari Dasha Calculation:
a) The first parameter for the Vimshottari Dasha calculation is to check the position of the Mahadasha planet. Mahadasha of the planet tells about the current event of a person life.
Let's take an example for Aries Ascendant.

In Aries Ascendant, Venus Mahadasha is currently running and Venus is present in the 10th house, here Venus is in (Number 10) zodiac sign which belongs to Capricorn zodiac sign.

b) Check the placement of Mahadasha planet from the ascendant.
Now, look at the placement of Venus from the Ascendant. Here, Venus is present in the 10th places away from the Ascendant.
c) Check the placement of Mahadasha planet from the Moon.
Let's assume Moon is present in the 2nd house.
Now check the placement of Moon from Venus. In this case, Venus has placed 9th places away from the Moon.
Now check the placement of Moon from Venus. In this case, Venus has placed 9th places away from the Moon.
The conclusion from the above two parameters is that the person will get more results which are related to his or her career or business during the Mahadasha of Venus because 10th house is the house of profession and career.
As Venus is also present nine places away from the Moon. If we count Venus position from Moon then the position of Venus will be in the 9th house from the Moon.
As 9th house represents luck and religion hence a person lucks increases during Venus Mahadasha and he or she will get more opportunities related to profession or career in which he can get success in their chosen field.

Parameter 2: Also, check the placement of Mahadasha planet in the (D-9 Navamsa) chart for deep and accurate predictions.
Check the placement of Venus in the Navamsa chart.
As Venus Mahadasha is running and Venus is strong in the Navamsa chart, it means Venus is in the exalted zodiac sign or own zodiac sign or friendly zodiac sign and present in the center houses or Trikona houses from Ascendant and benefic planets are also keeping an eye on Venus.
Benefic planets are Jupiter, Moon, Mercury, Venus then it means the Mahadasha planet is very strong and it will give auspicious results and the intensity of those opportunities regarding career or profession will be more.
As Venus Mahadasha is running and Venus is strong in the Navamsa chart, it means Venus is in the exalted zodiac sign or own zodiac sign or friendly zodiac sign and present in the center houses or Trikona houses from Ascendant and benefic planets are also keeping an eye on Venus.

Many people faced problems during the Mahadasha of RajYog planet but they did not get better results. Why does this happen?
This happens because Mahadasha planet is not strong in their D-9 Navamsa chart, its degree is 0 degree or 29 degrees or 1 degree or it is placed in the debilitated zodiac sign or enemy zodiac sign that's why a person can't get good results of their Raj Yog.
Parameter 3: Now see the Antardasha of Planet.
Check the placement of Antardasha Planet from the Ascendant or Moon or the Mahadasha Lagna.

Mahadasha Lagna is calculated by placing the Mahadasha planet in the Lagna or 1st house without changing the zodiac sign in which all planets are present.

Parameter 4: Also, look at the placement of Antardasha planet in D-9 Navamsa chart. If a RajYog planet is weak and present in D-9 Navamsa chart then it will not give good results.
If Antardasha planet is in the exalted zodiac sign or own zodiac sign or friendly zodiac sign and present in the centre houses or Trikona houses then it means that the particular planet is powerful and capable of giving excellent results.

Parameter 6: Check the Mahadasha planet placement in the Navamsa chart. Analyse Mahadasha Lord just like we analyse Ascendant chart.
a) Look at the 1st house Lord placement in D-9 chart. Check the degree and power of 1st house Lord too. Check the Awastha of planets.
Check which planets are keeping an eye on Mahadasha planet?. Which planets are sitting with the Mahadasha planet?.
Parameter 7: Check the Ascendant horoscope, look at the placement of 6th Lord, 8th Lord, 12th Lord.
OR
Check if any planet is present in the 6th house or 8th house or 12th house.
If any planet who is the lord of Trik houses sits with the Mahadasha planet.
OR
Lord of Trik houses is keeping an eye on the Mahadasha planet.
If anyone condition is met for the above-mentioned parameters then it gives struggles and troubles during the Mahadasha planet.
But if the Lord of Trik houses are strong and present in the exalted zodiac sign or own zodiac sign or moola Trikona zodiac sign then it means that the person will overcome the difficulties and troubles and the intensity of troubles will be less.
Parameter 8: Look at the Antardasha planet.
a) If Antardasha planet will be present in the 6th house or 8th house or 12th house from the Mahadasha planet.
OR
b) If the Mahadasha planet of 6th house or 8th house or 12th house is keeping an eye on Antardasha planet then it creates problems in life.
Let's take the same example as discussed above: Venus is the Mahadasha planet and present in the 10th house. Saturn is the Antardasha planet and present in the 7th house. Here Saturn Antardasha is running under Venus Mahadasha. Now, count Trik houses from the Venus.
The 6th house from Venus will be Gemini zodiac sign(Number 3) and the Lord is Mercury.
The 8th house from Venus will be Leo zodiac sign(Number 5) and the Lord is Sun.
The 12th house from Venus will be Sagittarius zodiac sign(Number 9) and Lord is Jupiter.
When there will be an influence of Mercury, Sun, Jupiter on Saturn who is the Antardasha planet then that a person can face difficulties during that period. To check the intensity of results, look at the placement of planets for 6th house or 8th house or 12th from Mahadasha planet. If there will be a positive impact of planets on 6th house or 8th house or 12th house then a person will not face much problems and difficulties.
Suppose if Mars sits in the 1st house and keeping an eye on Saturn who is present in the 7th house then it can create problems and hurdles in life.
Parameter 9: Also, look at the Transit of Jupiter and Saturn.
Jupiter and Saturn transit on which houses? If Jupiter and Saturn transit on 7th house or 7th house lord then it indicates that the person will maintain a good relationship in a business partnership and married life.
Results depend upon the benefic or malefic aspects on 7th house or 7th Lord.
If Jupiter and Saturn transit on 10th house then it gives results which will be related to career or profession.
If Jupiter and Saturn transit on 5th house then it gives results related to children. If Jupiter and Saturn transit on 11th house then it gives results related to income and gains.
Parameter 10: Check the Pratyantar Dasha of planets. Analysis of Pratyantar Dasha of the planet will be the same as I did above for Antardasha of the planet but here, check the Pratyantar Dasha of the planet relates to the Antardasha of the planet.
